Meet and greet your Veliko Tarnovo tour guide and proceed for your tour to three remarkable cave systems:

    • The God’s Eyes Cave: Most of you have seen the ceiling of Prohodna Cave on the internet in northern Bulgaria, which affords a peek at the sky via two deity-sized-eye-shaped holes. Known as the Eyes of God, these holes are located in the middle chamber of the 262-meter-long cave, illuminating the interior and providing a uniquely framed view of the firmament above. Remarkable in size, similar in shape, and eye look alike in appearance, these holes result from natural erosive forces. It is little surprise that they are known locally as both the Eyes of God and the Eyes of the Devil.

    • The Devetska Cave: It is a picturesque karst cave near Lovech city and consists of an enormous open chamber illuminated by seven holes in the ceiling. Its floor is covered by lush greenery, so sometimes, it is hard to believe that one is actually underground. There are 11 underground lakes and a small river that runs through the cave and then connects with a bigger one outside called Osam. With a length of nearly 2.5 km, a height of 60 m, Devetàshka is one of the biggest caves in Bulgaria. It is home to more than 35,000 bats of 15 different species.

    • Saeva Hole Cave: This cave is considered to be one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. It is located in an easily accessible location in the Balkan Mountains, near the village of Brestnitsa. In the cave, there are stalagmites, stalactites, stalactones, dendrites and helictites. The largest stalactite within it has a circumference of 60 meters. It is 205 meters long and has an average temperature of 7-11 degrees. About 70 meters underground, a river, estimated to be 3 million years old, flows into the cave.
