Description

Sign up for an exciting excursion to explore Geopark Iskar-Panega, one of the most picturesque spots in Bulgaria. Visit the stone houses nearby, enjoy boating in river Iskar and tour around the famous Prohodna cave, known as ''The Eyes of God''. Also, pay your respects at the rocky monastery St. Nikola, from the XIII-XIV century.

    • Connect with your tour guide at the meeting point to start the program itinerary.
    • Leave Sofia at around 9 am and arrive at Zlatna Panega eco path at approximately 10.30 am.
    • Have a walk along the river Iskar till the end of the path. See river life and enjoy beautiful trails and nature for around an hour.
    • OPTIONAL - rent a riverboat and sail along the river, reaching the floating house and river birds.
    • Explore the stone houses nearby enjoy the beautiful view with a cup of coffee or tea for 30-40min.
    • Do a picnic with a spectacular view - have lunch at a gazebo. (1 hour)
    • Then, go and learn about cave ''Prohodna''. (1 hour)
    • OPTIONAL - walk through the forest to the upper point of a mountain hill, and enjoy a fantastic view. (1 hour)
    • Next, visit and learn about the rocky monastery of St. Nikola. (1 hour)
    • Finish the trip with an evening meal. Taste typical regional food. 
    • Drop off in Sofia at around 6 pm.
