Description

Embark on a two-day journey to scenic Azerbaijan, bounded by the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. The tour starts from Baku, where you will see the local villages, old workshops and pass through the beautiful mountain resorts in Qabala via Lahich. Visit Shaki, Azerbaijan's true travel gem, a small city off on the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Rich in Islamic architecture, Silk Road history, mouth-watering traditional food, and friendly people, Shaki is indeed a stay in the Caucasus region. 

  • Day 1: Start from Baku to Qabala and Shaki via Lahich expand_more

    • Gather at the hotel (Baku bus station, Old city Castle entrance) at 9:00 am and depart for Lahich. 

    • Arrive in Lahich at 12:15 pm and familiarise yourself with the village. Explore shops and old workshops with copper items.

    • Enjoy a hearty lunch and depart for Qabala at 2:00 pm.

    • Stop at Nohur Gol Lake, located in the forest. Bask in the sun under nature's magic. 

    • Leave for Tufandag Mountain Resort, a famous ski resort in Azerbaijan. Arrive at the resort at 5:00 pm.

    • Head to Shaki at 6:00 pm, and on arrival, check-in at the hotel.

  • Day 2: Shaki Sightseeing and Departure to Matsimi Border expand_more

    • Meet your tour guide at the hotel at 10:00 am and proceed for sightseeing of Shaki. 

    • Visit the Palace of Shaki Khans, a summer residence for the Shaki Khans, built in 1797 by Muhammed Hasan Khan. It is then followed by lunch and further visit other landmarks. 

    • Depart for the Balaken and Georgia Border. On arrival at Matsimi Border, bid farewell and your sojourn come to an end.
