Begin from the double gate of Icherisheher, the main entrance of the old fortress build in 12th century. Partially restored, it shows is an excellent example of the medieval architecture of Azerbaijan. 

Continue your tour by visiting the newly restored Palace of Baku Khans', residence of local rulers of Baku in the 19th century. 

Make a stop to observe some examples of the houses of oil barons which existed before the USSR. 

Make your way towards the oldest building of Baku, the glorious and mythical Maiden Tower which is full of legends and tales. 

Take some time for a coffee break and shopping at the local markets.

Proceed to the Shirvanshakhs' Palace, a royal residence of Shirvanshakhs' dynasty. Cherish the memerising view of the city of Baku from the top of the courtyard. 

End of the tour at the last gate of Old Baku's castle.
