  • Vaduz is the Capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, the seat of the Parliament and has also been the princely residence since 1939. Let`s go to the origins of this small town. The name dates back to the Roman period and belongs to the Rhaetic-Roman language. 
  • In 1150, it was mentioned for the first time. At the beginning of the 18th century, the princely family acquired the County of Vaduz. And elevated the area to the Imperial Principality of Liechtenstein. Since 1939, Vaduz has been the permanent residence of the Princes von und zu Liechtenstein.
  • The "Stadtle"  is the centre of Vaduz and, with its pedestrian zone, invites you to stroll around and admire works of art as well as important architectural gems like the Kunstmuseum and the Hilte Art Museum or the newly built Parliament.
  • You will discover impressive modern and traditional architecture within a few hundred metres. Vaduz is a treasure trove of culture offering many highlights in a small place.
