Reach Sevan, the biggest lake not only in Armenia but in the Caucasus, famous for its freshwater. The beach of the lake is full of locals and tourists all year round, they swim and rest in summers, admiring the beauty of shining waters in winters.

Visit Sevanavank monastery, located very close to the road. Due to its easy location (on the crossroad), it remains crowded.

Head towards the Noratus. This is an old cemetery known for its oldest khachqars (cross-stone). Many of them date back to the 10th century. This place is like a cluster of Armenian khachqars. Several tombstones in the cemetery depict carved scenes of weddings and farm life. 

Proceed to top the Hayravank monastery ( 9-12th century), located on the southwestern part of Sevan Lake. In a short distance from this place, are remains of the Bronze Age with medieval fortification walls and foundations of a settlement. Many tools, clay idols, numerous vessels, fireplaces and two tombs, all from the Iron Age were discovered here during archaeological excavations.
