Description

Explore the old town of Ohrid and visit the Saint Sofia Basilica, the ancient theatre, Samuel Fortress and Saint Clement Basilica and the Roman ruins. Embark on a short boat trip on the Ohrid Lake before heading to Albania, and finally, roam around the village of Tushemisht or observe the swans and the ducks at Drilon park.

    • Meet with Dorian, your tour guide, and depart from the pier/ hotel or your specified meeting place to reach the border crossing to North Macedonia.
    • Just after the border procedure, we drive towards the town of Struga, where we can admire the spring of the Black Drini River.
    • Continue along the shore of the lake further to Ohrid, where we start with a walking tour of the old town. 
    • Visit the workshop for handmade paper, Saint Sofia Basilica, the ancient theatre, Samuel Fortress and Saint Clement Basilica and the Roman ruins.
    • Walk around the hill, where spectacular views of the lake will be mixed with the beauty of the Kaneo church.
    • Visit Saint Naum Monastery, where the Saint himself is buried inside the church.
    • Continue our drive along the shore to reach the last Macedonian part before heading to Albania
    • Embark on a short boat trip to enjoy the springs of the lake before we take the way "back home".
    • Just after the border procedure, we may stroll around the tiny village of Tushemisht or enjoy "the fifth symphony" of the swans and the ducks at Drilon park.  
    • Late afternoon, we'll head back to the pier or your specified place.

  • This tour is not recommended for walking disabilities or using a wheelchair due to hilly terrain.
  • During this day trip, we will visit the old town of Ohrid. Situated on the shore of the lake with the same name is considered the most significant town around the lake. The city was known under the ancient name Lychnidos probably meaning "city of light",
  • According to a local legend, Ohrid used to have 365 churches, one for each day of the year. Due to this has received the nickname "Jerusalem of the Balkans" The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments, which offers a hot atmosphere
  • Saint Naum Monastery and a little park surrounding it has a lot to offer and explore.
  • Once we return to Albania, Tushemisht village and Drilon Park are the last nature sites to rest before the transfer back to your place.
