    • Move to Copiapo for last-minute shopping after a hearty breakfast.
    • After lunch, head to the Quebrada de Paipote and pass the night at Laguna Santa Rosa.

    Spend the night in a refuge or tent.

  • Day 3: Laguna Santa Rosa to Mount 7 Hermanos (4.780 m) to Laguna Verde (4.350 m) expand_more
    • Enjoy an acclimatization hike to Mount 7 Hermanos.

    • Make your way now to Laguna Verde.

    Spend the night in a refuge or tent. 

  • Day 4: Laguna Verde to Mount Mulas Muertas (5.897 m) to Laguna Verde expand_more
    • Climb another acclimatization hike to Mount Mulas Muertas. 

    Stay overnight in a refuge or tent.

  • Day 5: Laguna Verde to Base Camp Atacama (5.230 m) expand_more
    • Start your hike to the Base Camp Atacama.

    Stay overnight in a refuge or tent. 

  • Day 6: Base Camp Atacama to High Camp Tejos (5.830 m) to Base Camp Atacama expand_more
    • Move your equipment and all the food to the High Camp Tejos. 

    Stay overnight in the base camp refuge or tent.

  • Day 7: Base Camp Atacama to High Camp Tejos (5.830 m) expand_more
    • Make your way to the High Camp Tejos and prepare for the next day.

    Stay overnight in a refuge or tent.

  • Day 8: High Camp Tejos (5.830 m) to Ojos del Salado summit (6.893 m) - Base Camp Atacama expand_more
    • Start early on the hardest day to reach the Ojos del Salado summit.

    • Come back to the Base Camp after an enjoyable time on the top.

    • Rest at the campsite, sleep under the stars.
  • Day 9: Security day expand_more
    • Make use of this extra day in case of bad weather or an emergency.

    Spend the night in refuge or tent according to availability.

  • Day 10: Base Camp Atacama to Caldera expand_more
    • Come back to the sea level and prepare to leave the next day.

    Stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Is important that you have some experience in trekking and in altitude, this is have slept over the 4000 masl at least once.
