2-Day Atlas Mountains Trek from Imlil with Tamsoulte Waterfalls

Morning

• Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil and begin your adventure with a scenic drive to the village. This transfer takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions.

• Once you arrive in Imlil, meet your local guide, who will brief you on the day's trek and ensure all logistics are in place.

Afternoon

• Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch in Imlil before setting out on your hike.

• Begin your hike towards the Tizi Mzik Pass (2684 m). The ascent is gradual, and the views over the Imlil Valley below are absolutely stunning. This section takes you through beautiful terraced fields and rocky paths.

• From Tizi Mzik, continue descending towards Tamsoulte, where you'll visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, standing 100 meters tall. The falls are a spectacular sight, surrounded by lush greenery.

Evening

• Continue from Tamsoulte towards the village of Tizi Oussem, situated at 1850 meters above sea level. As you walk through the Azzaden Valley, you'll be surrounded by juniper forests and dramatic mountain landscapes.

• After about 5 hours of walking, arrive at the village and enjoy a warm dinner at a local refuge or guesthouse. Rest for the night, immersed in the serene mountain atmosphere.

Morning

• After a restful night, enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast at your refuge.

• Depart from Tizi Oussem, walking through the colorful valley and passing several typical Berber villages. The valley is vibrant with terraced fields, and the path is lined with juniper trees.

• Reach the village of Id Issa at 1800 meters, then ascend to the Tizi Oudid Pass (2000 m). The views of the surrounding mountains and valleys are breathtaking here.

Afternoon

• After crossing the Tizi Oudid Pass, descend through wild juniper and thuya forests towards the village of Matat. The hike is peaceful, and you'll encounter a variety of flora and fauna along the way.

• Continue your trek back to Imlil via a winding trail through the valley. This section offers one last panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains and the surrounding villages.

Evening

• After approximately 4.5 hours of walking, arrive in Imlil once more. From here, you'll be transferred back to Marrakech or your next destination, completing your 2-day trekking adventure in the Atlas Mountains.
