Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge

   • After breakfast in Marrakech, your driver will pick you up and take you to Imlil, a small Berber village 67 km southwest of Marrakech, at 1740m above sea level.
   • Upon arrival in Imlil, meet the team of muleteers and guides who will assist you during the trek. The muleteers will handle your luggage, food, and equipment.
   • Start your hike with an experienced guide, following a mule track through the Berber villages. The first stop is the shrine of Sidi Chamhrouch (2500m), where you will enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by your cook.
   • After lunch, continue your trek towards Toubkal Refuge (3200m). The mules will move faster, and your muleteers and cooks will await you at the refuge.
   • Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing mint tea while enjoying the stunning mountain views. The refuge offers hot showers to prepare for the next day’s summit challenge.
   • Option: You can stay in the Toubkal Refuge or camp in tents during summer.
   • Distance: 5 hours of walking.

2. Day 2: Toubkal Refuge to Summit and Descent to Imlil

   • Wake up early at the Toubkal Refuge, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and prepare for the challenging ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m).
   • Start your hike to the summit, which will take about 4-5 hours. You’ll enjoy spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains along the way.
   • Reach the summit of Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak, and take in the panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountain range.
   • After some time at the summit, begin your descent back to the Toubkal Refuge for a rest and a well-earned lunch.
   • Continue your descent to Imlil, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech.
   • Arrive in Marrakech by the evening, marking the end of your incredible 2-day Toubkal ascent adventure.
