3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech with Merzouga and Dades Valley

Depart from Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas Of Morocco (2260 m).

Continue on the road to get to Ait Ben Hadou.

Visit Kasr Ait Ben Hadou for one hour, and discover the culture and beautiful landscapes of that village. Ksar Ait Ben Hadou is located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas in the Province of Ouarzazate. The site of Ait-Ben-Haddou is the most famous ksar in the Ounila Valley.

Enjoy lunch in the old kasbah.

After lunch, take a route that crosses Ouarzazate to arrive at the "Valley of 1000 Kasbahs", Dades Valley, and spend the fantastic night there.

Have breakfast, and then visit the Dades gorges by crossing the mountains.

After that, continue the road to Merzouga by crossing Boumalne Dades, and visit Todgha gorges in Tinghir. Todgha gorges are situated on the east side of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The Todra Gorge is recognized around the world as one of the most spectacular canyons. 

Continue on the road to Merzouga. 

After arriving at Merzouga, ride a camel to get to camp inside the desert, watch the sundown and spend an unforgettable night in the camp.

Watch the sunrise while riding a camel, back to Marrakech by Draa valley. The Draa Valley is known as the “Country of Dates”, and is much dryer in comparison to the Dades Valley, or the “Country of  Figs”.
