Enjoy some of Morocco's most spectacular scenery on a lovely drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Travel from Marrakech via the Tizi N'Tichka pass to Ouarzazate, visit the famous Kasbah and the Draa Valley, and experience a camel ride with an overnight stay in a desert tent to discover the real Morocco. You will also see the fantastic sunrise in the desert and visit the famous filming location of Aït Benhaddou Kasbah.

Arrive in the Draa Valley, home to thousands of palm trees.

The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Zagora via Ouarzazate and Draa Valley

Meet your expert driver-guide at your riad or hotel for a fascinating experience.
Drive to Zagora through the Tizi N'Tichka pass (2260 m), where the High Atlas Mountains reveal impressive Berber hamlets that invite contemplation as well as great photo opportunities.
Stop in Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, for lunch at a restaurant overlooking Taourirt Kasbah, located in the heart of Ouarzazate and once the residence of the famous former Pasha of Marrakech, El Glaoui.
Head south, crossing Tizi N'Tnifift in the Anti-Atlas, another mountain chain with a shape quite different from the former.
Arrive in the Draa Valley, home to thousands of palm trees.
Meet your camel and guide, who will be waiting to take you on another unique 1 hour 30 minute adventure to your camp, where you will spend the night.

Day 02

Zagora to Marrakech via Aït Benhaddou

After breakfast, return to the meeting point, where you will meet your driver for the journey back to Marrakech.
Visit the impressive Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, used as a backdrop for many Hollywood films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, and many more.
Continue your trip across the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech at around 6 pm.
