Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains, Berber Villages and Ourika Valley
Relax on a full-day trip from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains in the company of an experienced English-speaking driver. Enjoy changing landscapes and spectacular views as far as the eye can see. The altitude here is approximately 1.1 miles (1,800 meters) above sea level, and you can admire the snowy summits of the High Atlas Mountains.
Continue through the Asni Valley, following a secluded mountain road that passes through traditional Berber villages built from adobe and stone. Discover the authentic life of the Berber people by visiting a typical Berber family in their home and enjoying mint tea with them.
Embark on a journey of discovery that continues along a track at 1.2 miles (2,000 meters) above sea level. Drive to the Ourika Valley and experience a unique aromatic garden containing traditional medicinal plants used by the Berbers.
Encounter the waterfalls of the valley, enjoy a delicious lunch in the beautiful surroundings of a restaurant close to the river, and take the opportunity to visit a local Berber co-operative. See the traditional rugs, pottery, and jewellery made on site.
The tour concludes with a drive back to Marrakech, arriving at approximately 17:00.
