6-Day M'goun Valley Trek from Marrakech through Berber villages

• Depart at 8:00 am from Marrakech, the mountain city that gives access to beautiful nature. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery that characterizes the central High Atlas on the journey to the Happy Valley.

• On arrival, be welcomed into Berber life with mint tea, followed by a free walk through the valley and the fields of Ait Bougmez.

Night lodging. (6-hour drive)

• Start the climb from Ait Imi at 2000 m to 2910 m, with an ascent of about 4 hours. At the top, discover a great panoramic view.

• Then follow an easy path down into the valley of Ouzighimt, which is full of different Berber villages.

(6 h 30 m walk, 1100 m ascent and 600 m descent)

• This day is dedicated to the descent into the Ouzighimt Valley, a beautiful valley where the women are always busy working in the fields and collecting wood for the fire. The walk follows the river, which links several villages.

• Lunch will be at the edge of Taghraft. Afterwards, continue the journey to the town of Imi N'irkt.

Overnight in tents. (5 h 30 walk, 500 m descent)

• Today, cross several rivers. Much of the walk will be in the water, which is often pleasantly cold and refreshing in summer.

• Take a break for hot tea and enjoy lunch near Ifas fas.

Overnight in tents. The camp will be at the village of Tighanimine.

(5 hours walking, 500 m descent)

• The day begins with a walk through fields of trees, including fig, walnut, and apple, before reaching the Boutaghrar Valley.

• Lunch will be provided near the village of Tamgalouna.

Overnight in a tent. (5 h 30 walk, 400 m descent)

• Depart at 8:00 am towards the city of Kelaa Mgouna, known worldwide for its roses that bloom in April and for its large Rose Festival, organized in the first week of May each year.

• After 90 km, continue across Ouarzazate City, then drive along the famous snaking road of Tizi n'Tichka at 2260 m on the way to Marrakech.

• Arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
