The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Tagounite via Tizi-n-Tichka and Tamegroute

Depart from your hotel in Marrakech by 4x4 early in the morning.
Drive over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, with a lunch break along the way.
Continue through the Draa River valley, passing palm trees and old kasbahs.
Stop at Tamegroute to visit the famous Koran library and underground Kasbah.
Stay in a hostel in Tagounite, with dinner included.

Day 02

Tagounite to Erg Chegaga through M'hamid and Oued Draa

Enjoy breakfast at the hostel in Tagounite.
Head towards M'hamid, the gateway to the desert.
Cross the Oued Draa by camel for approximately three hours, admiring the beautiful desert landscape.
With luck, encounter nomads with their animals.
Have lunch at a scenic spot in the desert with dunes and large tamarisk trees.
Continue the journey to the dunes of Chegaga, a stunning group of towering dunes.
Spend the night in nomad tents at the dunes, with dinner and entertainment.

Day 03

Erg Chegaga to Ouarzazate via Lac Iriqui and Fint Oasis

Witness the sunrise over the sand dunes and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Depart by 4x4 on the old Paris-Dakar Rally road to Foum Zguid, crossing Lac Iriqui.
Stop for lunch in Taznakht, known for its famous women's carpet cooperative.
Continue towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Oasis of Fint.
Stay in a good hotel in Ouarzazate, with dinner included.

Day 04

Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou and Telouat

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel in Ouarzazate.
Depart towards the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Travel onwards to the Pacha Kasbah in Telouat, where you will enjoy lunch.
Continue through the Atlas Mountains, reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon.
