The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Imlil and Trek to Toubkal Refuge

  • After being picked up from your lodging in Marrakech, you will be driven to Imlil Valley, where the trek will begin.
  • After being greeted by the local team, you will begin your trek through the Aat Mizane Valley in the direction of the village of Aremd, the Sidi Chamarouch sanctuary, and a nearby waterfall.
  • Continue uphill until you reach the Toubkal Refuge, where you will stay the night. Walking time: 4-5 hours.

Day 02

Summit Jbel Toubkal and Return to Marrakech

  • Get up early in the morning to reach the summit of Jbel Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. Make your way through the rocks and over streams.
  • Take a break to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surroundings, including the plain of Marrakesh, the High Atlas Mountains in the north, and the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara in the south, as you reach the plateau.
  • When you reach the top, begin your descent to Imlil and then continue to Marrakech. The day includes a 10-12 hour walk plus a 1-30 drive.
