Walk Through the Highlights of Marrakech
- Start by meeting your certified guide near La Poste de Maroc in the big square, then begin at the iconic minaret of Koutoubia Mosque, the emblem of Marrakech. You can also choose places such as Medrassa Ben Youssef and El Badi Palace.
- Next, walk to the south of the Medina to admire a stunning gate built in the medieval age.
- Then visit the Jewish quarter, one of the city's important areas because of its history and heritage, where most Moroccan Jews lived for hundreds of years. It remains one of the busiest areas inside the Medina.
- Visit Bahia Palace, one of the most visited sites in the city and a fine example of Moorish architecture.
- After that, continue on foot to visit the largest souk in the city, including Souk Alksour, Mouassine, and Souk Rahba Kedima (the Berber market), along with more traditional souks, bakeries, and lodging houses, while uncovering Marrakesh's history. You will explore the traditional souk and see how leather workers and other artisans work.
- Finally, finish the tour in the big square, Jemaa Elfna, the centre of the city, where you can have a drink with a panoramic view of the Medina. It is also the place of Gnawa musicians, snake charmers, monkey peddlers, and food. This is where the trip both starts and finishes.
