The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate Day Trip

Our driver/guide will meet you at your riad or hotel in Marrakech around 08:00 AM for an extraordinary day trip to the old UNESCO kasbah of Aït Benhaddou.
On this explorative journey, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains and pass through unique Berber villages in the foothills, reaching an altitude of 2260 m. After crossing the mountains, we will arrive at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, where a few families still live today. Along the way, you will have the chance to see the Berber villages of the High Atlas Mountains.
Before reaching the Ounila Valley and the kasbahs of Aït Benhaddou, you will discover a place where many international movies were filmed, such as Gladiator, Alexander, and Kingdom of Heaven. Take a walk and cross the Ounila River to begin your visit of the kasbah.
Have lunch at one of the many restaurants. After lunch, you will visit the kasbah and enjoy a walk for an hour. After that, we will continue to the city of Ouarzazate to visit another old kasbah, Kasbah Taourirt, from the outside, and if time allows, we will also visit the cinema studios.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech via Tizi n'Tichka. This day trip will allow you to experience the Berber way of life, a way that has endured for hundreds of years.
