Trip to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah from Marrakech
- Our driver/guide will meet you in your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech around 08:00 AM for an extraordinary day trip to the old UNESCO kasbah Ait Benhaddou.
- In this explorative journey, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains and their unique Berber villages on the foothills of the mountains with an altitude of 2260M. After crossing the mountains, we will reach Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the UNESCO Heritage site classified since 1987, where few families are still living nowadays. Along the way, you will get the chance to see the Berber villages in the mountains of High Atlas.
- Before you get to the valley of Ounila, then to Ait Benhaddou kasbahs, where many international movies were shot, such as Gladiator, Alexander, and Kingdom of heaven. Take a walk and cross the Ounila river to start visiting the Kasbah.
- Have lunch in one of many restaurants. After lunch, you will visit the Kasbah and have a walk for an hour. After that we will continue to the city of Ouarzazate to visit another old Kasbah, “Kasbah Taourirt, from outside and if time allows we wil visit the cinema studios.
- In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka. This day trip will allow you to experience the Berber way of life, a way that has been endured for hundreds of years.
