Day 01
High Atlas Valleys and Ourika Waterfalls Day Trip
- Get picked up from your hotel at 9 AM for a wonderful day trip to explore the High Atlas Mountains and discover the hidden villages outside Marrakech.
- Cross the beautiful landscapes of the High Atlas between Berber villages on the hillside and shepherds grazing their flocks on the steep slopes of the Atlas Mountains, heading towards Moulay Brahim. Plateaus and cliffs alternate with deep gorges. Further down, the Kik Plateau seems to carve into the Atlas, while the Agafay Desert evokes southern Morocco. Throughout the year, the Kik Plateau changes with the seasons: brown when farmers plough the land with their mules, white in winter beneath the snowy peaks of the Atlas, green in spring when bright barley fields are dotted with poppies, and finally yellow in summer, announcing the harvest.
- Passing through the village of Asni, the road continues along a valley between the mountains of the Toubkal massif to reach Oukaimden. Via the road of the Ourika Valley, you will have the chance to stop and visit a women's argan oil cooperative before reaching Ourika Valley or Setti Fadma to begin a guided hike of around one and a half hours.
- After the guided hike, enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant by the river or on a beautiful panoramic terrace.
- After lunch, drive back to Marrakech.
