Day 01
Marrakech to Ouirgane Valley and Asni
- Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the morning, and you will head towards the High Atlas Mountains. On the way to Tahanaout, stop to enjoy panoramic views over a valley filled with olive trees and an old Berber village, with time to take some great pictures.
- As you continue towards Ouirgane, take in the beauty of the landscapes and the traditional Berber villages set in the green valleys. You can also visit a local argan cooperative run by women, where you may buy some of their products if you wish.
- You will also stop by a local family's house to see how they live and work in the small mountain villages and enjoy a fresh mint tea.
- Soon, you will arrive at Ouirgane village, the starting point for various treks to Jebel Tassa Ouirgane, near the second-highest mountain in Africa.
- There, your local guide will be waiting to take you on a fantastic hike. If you do not feel like walking, you can simply relax and enjoy the panoramic views from a terrace in the village. Lunch will be served in a rural house by a local family.
- Afterwards, return to Marrakech and arrive back at your hotel or riad at the end of the afternoon.
