Day 01
Ourika Valley, Setti Fatma and the Seven Waterfalls
- The valley is located about 45 minutes from Marrakech. However, there are about 30 kilometres between the town of Ourika - where you can say the valley begins - and Setti Fatma, where it ends. Here, you can contemplate the best views. In this last section, the winding road runs alongside a small river that hints at the landscapes you will admire later, and there are enough restaurants to enjoy a delicious lunch by the river.
- The seven waterfalls, of which only the last two can be seen from the lower part of the mountain, are about a half-hour walk from the village, always uphill along a stony mountain road. With a bit of good orientation - especially if you hire a guide with the help of your driver and use the souvenir stalls and restaurants as reference points - the route becomes easier to follow. The guide will help you climb to the waterfalls, take photos, and continue further through the mountains on foot, where you can learn more about areas of the valley that few tourists reach.
- The road to the waterfalls runs parallel to the mountain streams and passes through abundant vegetation. After visiting the waterfalls, you can enjoy a delicious tajine by the river or on a panoramic terrace, almost like a picnic. Highly recommended.
- In the afternoon, at around 5 PM, we will drive back to your accommodation in Marrakech.
