This is a 3-day desert tour from Marrakesh to Fes through Ouarzazate and the Merzouga desert. Enjoy scenic roads, beautiful landscapes in different colours, and Berber villages along the way. From Ouarzazate, visit the UNESCO site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and Taourirt, then continue through oases, palm groves, and gorges. Cross valleys and dry rivers to reach Merzouga for a camel ride at sunset over the dunes, followed by an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars with a traditional Moroccan dinner before continuing to Fes.

There, we leave the 4x4 vehicle for a camel ride to watch the sunset in the middle of the dunes.

The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Dades Valley via Tizi n'Tichka and Ait Ben Haddou

At 9:00 in the morning, we leave your hotel for Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 m). We pass through several Berber villages, then stop for lunch and visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
After lunch, we continue to the palm grove of Skoura, visit Kasbah Amridile, and carry on to the Dades Valley via the Valley of Roses.
We arrive in the evening at Boumalne Dades.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02

Dades Gorge to Merzouga via Todgha, Tinejdad and Erfoud

In the morning, after breakfast, we depart to visit the gorges and the palm grove of Todgha.
Afterwards, we continue along the desert road towards Erfoud, the capital of fossils, via Tinejdad and its Berber villages.
We then continue our adventure to the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
There, we leave the 4x4 vehicle for a camel ride to watch the sunset in the middle of the dunes.
You will spend the night in nomadic tents on the giant dunes and enjoy the silence under a sky full of stars.

Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.

Day 03

Merzouga to Fes via Er-Rachidia, Ziz Gorges, Azrou and Ifrane

Your dromedary guide will wake you up early to witness the beautiful sunrise.
Then, return to your hotel to enjoy the unique beauty of the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
After breakfast, we take the road to Fes via Er-Rachidia.
We pass by the famous Gorges du Ziz, carved in volcanic rocks, and continue to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we stop to see the Berber monkeys in the cedar forest.
Then we continue to Ifrane, where we stop to take photos or have a drink before arriving at your accommodation in Fes.
