Marrakech to Aït Benhaddou, Draa Valley and Zagora Desert
- We will start our 2-day tour to the Zagora Desert with pickup at 08:00 am from your accommodation in Marrakech in a modern, comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
- We will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, driving for miles while enjoying the fascinating sight of superb, scattered Berber villages, until we reach the World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou. Morocco's most famous ksar (an old village of kasbahs), this fortified village dates back to the 18th century and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This beautiful place has attracted many film directors and appeared in movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Alexander, and The Jewel of the Nile.
- After exploring the kasbah, you will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant.
- Continue towards the Draa Valley and its huge palm grove via Ouarzazate, crossing the village of Agdez and passing kasbahs along the way.
- Arrive in the Saharan town of Zagora, where the remains of an Almoravid fortress can still be seen.
- Ride camels for a new adventure, crossing the palm grove of Draa to reach the sands of the Tinfo dunes, where you will spend the night under Berber tents.
