Enjoy views of the majestic High Atlas Mountains on a day trip from Marrakech that takes you through the oldest Berber village in the Tahanout area, on to Asni for beautiful views of the summit of Oukaimden, and into Imlil village. Walk through Berber villages to discover their culture and lifestyle, and experience the contrast between the Asni Valley, Imlil Valley, and Lalla Takerkouste Dam.

Lunch will be cooked by our family in my traditional home.

The itinerary

Day 01

Atlas Mountains, Imlil Walk, and Berber Villages

Pickup from your riad or hotel in Marrakech at around 08:30 am.
Meet your guide in Marrakech and drive south-east towards the majestic Atlas Mountains.
Stop to take a picture of the oldest Berber village in the Tahanout area and visit the Berber women's cooperative.
Stop in Asni for a picture of the summit of Oukaimden before reaching Imlil.
Arrive in Imlil village and start a walk through the Berber villages to discover their culture.
Visit a waterfall in the middle of nowhere. The walk is gentle, and the views are awesome.
Lunch will be cooked by our family in my traditional home.
Return to Marrakech by 5:00 pm.
