Atlas Mountains, Camel Ride, and Berber Village Experience
Enjoy this full-day trip from Marrakech to the majestic Atlas Mountains.
Savour your first experience with a camel ride along the road of the Ourika Valley.
Then drive toward the Atlas area famous for its waterfalls. This lush valley's waterfalls are a lovely counterpoint to the surrounding landscape, and your guide will help you fully explore the villages and waterfalls while enjoying a drink in front of them.
Before that, you will stop at an Argan Oil Cooperative run by Berber women to have some breakfast and learn how they turn the argan nut into many different argan oil-based products.
Continue through the Asni Valley near the ski resort, taking a secluded mountain road at 1,800 meters above sea level to reach Imlil village. Along the way, pass through traditional Berber villages built from adobe and stone, and discover the authentic life and culture of the Berber people.
Head toward Tagadert Village, where you will have lunch at the guide's family house and enjoy a Berber meal made by the guide's mother. This area is famous for its fruit trees - apples, walnuts, almonds, peaches, and more - so have your camera ready to take pictures of the highest peak in North Africa from the traditional terraces: Mount Toubkal, at more than 4,000 metres.
Sit down for lunch at the guide's home.
Continue discovering the Berber area before returning to your accommodation in Marrakech at around 17:30.
