Capri and Anacapri Sightseeing from Naples
Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location to begin the tour.
Start from the Port of Naples. The island is reachable by jet boat for 22 euro one way, and the ride takes about 50 minutes.
Stroll through the fantastic town of Capri while your tour guide gives you an excellent introduction to this lively area. Discover all it has to offer, including chic shops, hotels, restaurants, and the main square, Piazza Umberto. Admire its pretty white church and explore several cafes, where you can sit and enjoy a cup of espresso or cappuccino.
Leading off the square are medieval-looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling island handicrafts such as clothing, jewellery made from coral and gold, shoes, and ceramics.
Walk in the Garden of Augustus. The view from this colourful garden is beyond words.
Visit one of the most famous attractions, the Blue Grotto. The most common way to get there is by taking a motorboat from Marina Grande and, once there, jumping into a small rowboat to enter the cave. The entrance is just over one meter high.
Proceed to the village of Anacapri. Settled on the western side of Monte Solaro, the highest peak on the island, Anacapri is famous for its wild nature and historical sites.
Visit Villa San Michele here. Villa San Michele is located on the north-eastern side of Anacapri, 327 metres above sea level. The ruins of an ancient Roman imperial villa, preserved by Axel Munthe, can now be found in the garden.
Hop onto the exciting chairlift ride and reach the very top of Monte Solaro. The ride takes 12 minutes, and once at the top, you are over 600 metres above sea level. The price is 12 euro per person.
