The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Imlil and Trek to Toubkal Refuge

Start the trek from Imlil with your Moroccan trekking guide, where you will meet your muleteers and support crew.
Follow the trail as it climbs quickly to the village of Aremd (1900 m).
Pass the tiny shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a great spot for a picnic lunch. The afternoon is short, and after about six hours of total walking time, reach Toubkal Refuge.

The camp for the night is at 3207 m. Showers are available.

Day 02

Summit Mount Toubkal and Return

It takes 4 or 5 hours from the camp to reach Toubkal (4167 m), so you will make an early start at 5:00 am.
After walking uphill, enjoy amazing views all over the High Atlas Mountains.
After a 30-minute break or some refreshments such as nuts, water, and oranges, return to base camp by the same route and stay here for a second night, or continue to Imlil by following the same way down the hill.
