5-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes with Merzouga Camel Camp

• Meet your Moroccan driver around 09:00 am for pickup and begin your desert tour experience in Marrakech.
• Spend some time in Marrakech in the morning wandering through the streets of the old Medina and doing some shopping, if needed, especially if you have not visited it yet.
• Travel to Ouarzazate, located at the junction of the valleys of Wadi Ouarzazate and Dades, which shape the Oued Draa. It is the heart of a vast region of southern Morocco. During this visit, you will be amazed by the southern foothills of the High Atlas and the nearby desert. See numerous Kasbahs, mountains and arid plains, valleys and lush oases, palm groves, and villages that attract desert lovers from all over the world every year.
• Stop at the Aït Benhaddou Ksar on the way.

Overnight and dinner at your accommodation in Ouarzazate city.

• Have breakfast and head to Boumalne Dades, where you will be spending the night. Make this trip an amazing journey as you pass through astonishing Saharan sites such as Skoura, where you will stop for a short exploration. This breathtaking site is considered one of the wonders of the south; locals call it "the route of a thousand Kasbahs."
• Continue the desert trip to Kalaat Megouna and then to Boumalne Dades for dinner.

• Have breakfast and head to Merzouga, where you will spend the night as your desert trip continues.
• Stop at the Todgha Gorges, well known for the spectacular views of their carved-out, cliff-sided canyons. You will have plenty of time to take some of your best pictures here.
• Continue to Merzouga, where you will spend the night. A surprise awaits you, as you will meet one of your local camel guides, who will take you on a camel ride to your camp in Erg Chebbi near Merzouga.
• Enjoy a unique experience with the locals while having dinner under starry skies and taking in a folkloric show through the night.

• Wake up a bit earlier on the last desert morning for a mesmerizing sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
• Get ready to start the journey back to Fes, where you will spend the night and have dinner. The fun is not over yet, as your driver will take you along a road full of impressive villages and sites while passing through Rissani, Ziz Valley, Errachidia city, Midelt, and the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may get to see some macaques.
• Arrive in Fes in the late evening. Your driver will drop you off at your riad or hotel, where you will spend the night and enjoy a nice dinner.

• Meet the tour guide at your hotel or riad around 9:30 am.
• Marvel at the magnificent gates of the Royal Palace in Morocco.
• Walk through the Jewish quarter (Mellah) near Fes Jdid.
• Drive to the southern fortress and enjoy panoramic views of Old Fes.
• Discover the pottery quarter during a short drive around the ramparts.
• Go to one of the entrances of Old Fes (Medina), from where you can begin touring the Medina.
• Visit the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum in the UNESCO-listed old Medina of Fes.
• Proceed to the Nejjarine Fountain, an attached saqayya, or traditional public fountain.
• Continue to discover Bou Inania Madrasa, the mosque, and the University of Qaraouiyne.
• See Chouara Tannery, the largest and one of the oldest tanneries in the city.
• Continue through the alleyways that house plenty of merchants and craftsmen with their products.
• Drive back to your hotel or riad. End of service.
