4-Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech with Camel Trek and Camp

• Depart from Marrakech to Dades Gorges at 7 AM.

• Cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas Pass, with far-reaching views across the mountains, and continue to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet.

• Continue to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and behold the spectacular view of this fortified village (Ksour). Have lunch in Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate, then continue to Dades Valley.

Spend the night in a riad/hotel in Dades Gorges.

(Camel Trek & Night in the Desert)

• After breakfast, travel from Dades Gorges to the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way.

• Pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud to see the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet, then continue to Merzouga.

• After relaxing for a few minutes in Merzouga, ride the camels waiting to take you on an adventure through the dunes.

• Arrive at the camp and head to the high dunes to watch the sunset.

• Spend the night in a camp of Nomad Berber tents with drum music in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise.

Night stay in nomad tents.

• After seeing the sunrise in the desert, return by camel to Merzouga.

• After breakfast, start your journey to Ouarzazate through the Berber villages of the Saghro mountains.

• Reach Draa Valley, which is famous for its fossilized remains from the Cambrian period.

• Arrive in Zagora, located in the Draa Valley.

Evening/night at the hotel.

• Leave Zagora via Draa Valley and visit Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Many movies were filmed here, such as Gladiator.

• Leave Ait Ben Haddou and begin heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains.

• Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Morocco's highest road pass, Tizi Tichka, at 2260 m.

Return to Marrakech.
