Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil to Toubkal Refuge

   • Leave the chaotic streets of Marrakech and head to the mountain village of Imlil in a 90 min drive with our tour guide in Marrakech. 

   • Pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You will meet your guide in Imlil. 

   • Follow the path up the hill in a serious hike crossing the Mizane valley and then towards the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. 

   • Hike to the Toubkal refuge, where you can spend the night. The refuge is pretty basic and covers the necessities. It has a lounge area with a fireplace and a heater to get you warmed up. Apart from this, there are toilets and hot showers.

2. Day 2: Toubkal Refuge to Peaks of Ouanakrim to Toubkal Refuge

   • Trek to the Ouanoukrim Twins, which are the 2nd and 3rd highest peaks in the High Atlas. They both stand at the head of Mizan valley.

   • Revel in the stunning view of Mount Toubkal.

   • Head back to the refuge for lunch.

3. Day 3: Toubkal Refuge to Mt Toubkal Peak to Toubkal Refuge

   • Climb the Toubkal Mount. The time for the ascent during the winter season is around  2 to 4 hours. The path rises steeply as you will continue your hike steadily. Our professional guides will helps you navigate safer routes to the summit. Peaks and snowbound valleys will make themselves visible to you as you stretch your eyes North and South, contemplating the Atlas Mountain Range and whole of Marrakech.

   • Retrace your way back to the refuge.

4. Day 4: Toubkal Refuge to Imlil to Marrakech

   • Have breakfast and prepare yourself to get back to Marrakech via Imlil.
