The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Imlil and Trek to Tizi Oussem

  • Drive towards the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni.

  • Enjoy the stunning views of the villages along the valley as you watch people go about their daily lives.

  • Arrive at Imlil, located 65 km from Marrakech, and meet the tour guide and muleteer to start the trek.

  • Climb Tizi Mzik Pass to see a spectacular view over Imlil Valley and Toubkal Summit.

  • Continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, then descend the Azzaden Valley through a juniper forest to reach Tizi Oussem village.

  • Spend the night at the guesthouse.

Day 02

Tizi Oussem Trek and Return to Marrakech

  • Enjoy the sunshine after breakfast in this colourful valley and its marvellous typical Berber villages.

  • Leave Tizi Oussem and continue down to Id Issa village before heading up to Tizi Oudid mountain pass.

  • Cross Matat village after passing through a wild juniper forest.

  • Have lunch under walnut groves and relax near the river.

  • Head back to Marrakech.
