5-Day Marrakech Desert Tour with Erg Chebbi and Aït Benhaddou

• Pick up at your hotel or riad by your local guide and head towards the High Atlas Mountains, the highest mountain range in North Africa.
• Enjoy the snow at the higher elevations during winter and well into spring.
• Continue towards Ouarzazate, a town near the High Atlas Mountains and the Drâa Valley. It is considered the movie capital, where one of the most important film studios in Morocco is located.
• Travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs as you enter the Dadès Valley.
• Continue on the river road into the narrow valley and stop to enjoy the valley views.

Have dinner and spend the night here.

• Wake up early to watch the sunrise.
• Visit a nomad family, eat under the shade of a tree, observe how Berber pizza is made, and taste it.
• Rest for a while and then venture into the desert in a 4x4 vehicle.
• See an oasis and visit the town of Khamlia (village of the blacks), the MIFISS mines, and meet the Berber nomads.
• Return to the haima and have dinner.

Play music and spend the night in the tent.

• Watch the beautiful sunrise.
• Visit a nomad family again, enjoy Berber pizza, rest for a while, and later continue on a route through the desert.
• Set out to see an oasis in the desert in a 4x4 vehicle. Stop at the town of Khamlia (village of the blacks), the MIFISS mines, other desert places, and meet the Berber nomads of the desert before returning to the haima for dinner.

Play music and spend the night in a tent.

• Wake up early to watch the sunrise and return by camel to the hotel.
• Take a shower and continue travelling towards Rissani. Stop to visit the market, an important trading place for all the surrounding villages, with shops and stalls of all kinds.
• Continue your route to Ouarzazate, crossing the magnificent Drâa Valley with its huge palm trees throughout the afternoon.

Arrive in Ouarzazate, have dinner, and spend the night.

• Visit the fortified city of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Several famous films have been made here, such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy.
• Arrive back in Marrakech.
