6-Day Morocco Berber Villages and Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech

• Travel from Marrakech to Imlil, a small village situated at 1,450 m at the base of Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
• Meet our muleteer team and begin the journey.
• Spend the night in the traditional Berber village of Tinzert and explore Berber life.

• Travel through the Ouirgane Valley and Azzadene Valley.
• Enjoy the diversity of these valleys, from forests of large oak trees and red earth to walnut groves, date palms, and a valley that remains lush all year long.

• Ascend from the Azzaden Valley and admire the valley in all its splendour.
• Tonight will be spent in the traditional Berber village of Aremd.

• Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and the Valley of Roses.

Overnight in the Dades Gorge.

Approximately 6-7 hours journey.

• Travel on the way to rendezvous with our camel team via the Todra Gorge, and explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
• Reach the campsite and admire the sunset behind the mysterious sandhills of the Sahara Desert.

Approximately 6-7 hours journey.

• Wake up early to explore the area further and head back to Merzouga on camels.
• Reach Merzouga, have breakfast, and shower.
• Begin the journey through the stony desert and over the Atlas Mountains, with plenty of stops for photos and lunch as you return to Marrakech. The usual arrival time in Marrakech is between 17:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs.

We suggest spending the night in the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou.
