Marrakech to Zagora via Tizi n'Tichka and Aït Benhaddou
- Get picked up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning.
- Depart for the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with stops for panoramic views.
- Along the way, see many Berber villages. Then continue south and take a 6 km detour that leads to the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Benhaddou, where you will visit the famous kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. Famous films have been shot on this spectacular site, including Gladiator, Obelix, and The Mummy. Enjoy some free time for lunch in town.
- Continue to Zagora through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and make some stops to take pictures.
- After 2 hours of driving, arrive at your destination, the Zagora desert, at about 5:00 pm.
- Leave the car there and ride camels towards the Berber tent camp. The ride takes about one hour, and you can admire the sunset.
- After dinner, enjoy a show with drums and Berber music.
Spend the night in the camp, sleeping in a nomad tent under the starlit sky in the heart of the desert.
