Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Zagora via Tizi n'Tichka and Aït Benhaddou

Get picked up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning.
Depart for the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with stops for panoramic views.
Along the way, see many Berber villages. Then continue south and take a 6 km detour that leads to the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Benhaddou, where you will visit the famous kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. Famous films have been shot on this spectacular site, including Gladiator, Obelix, and The Mummy. Enjoy some free time for lunch in town.
Continue to Zagora through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and make some stops to take pictures.
After 2 hours of driving, arrive at your destination, the Zagora desert, at about 5:00 pm.
Leave the car there and ride camels towards the Berber tent camp. The ride takes about one hour, and you can admire the sunset.
After dinner, enjoy a show with drums and Berber music.

Spend the night in the camp, sleeping in a nomad tent under the starlit sky in the heart of the desert.

Day 02

Zagora Desert to Marrakech via Draa Valley and Ouarzazate

Wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise from a small dune next to the camp.
After breakfast, return to Zagora on the camels and drive towards the Draa Valley.
On the way, make some stops to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the valley that runs along the Draa River.
Go through the Anti-Atlas to reach Ouarzazate, and visit Taourirt Kasbah, the cinema studios, and the Cinema Museum if you wish.
Proceed to Marrakech.
Stop at Tizi n'Tichka Pass and have lunch.
After lunch, continue the trip and, in about 2 hours, reach Marrakech and transfer to your hotel.

End of tour.

Payments for the tour from Marrakech:
- Bookings for the tour from Marrakech are confirmed upon receipt of a 25% deposit. At your request, we will send an invoice with payment details for your requested tour from Marrakech.
- Deposits can be paid via direct bank transfer or Western Union. Receipts will be issued upon receipt of the deposit. The balance can be paid in cash (Euro, Dollars, or Moroccan Dirham) to the driver at the commencement of the tour.
- You can pay the balance by credit card or direct bank transfer, but this will incur a 4% fee.
