3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour with Aït Benhaddou

• Get picked up from your hotel or the airport in Marrakech, then enjoy a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, including a crossing of the zig-zag Tichka Pass at 2,260 metres.

• Along the way, see the picturesque Berber kasbah built by the Pasha of Marrakech and visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

• After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, as its studios have been used to film many international movies, such as "The Gladiator".

• See Taourirt Kasbah, situated in the centre of Ouarzazate city.

• Arrive at your hotel in the palm grove oasis town of Skoura.

• After breakfast, hit the road and drive through beautiful scenery to see ancient Berber kasbahs while passing through the Rose Valley towns of El Kelaa Mgouna and Boumalne Dade.

• Visit the stunning Todra Gorges in Tinghir province.

• Have lunch in the quaint town of Tinjdade before heading towards the desert.

• Along the way, pass the desert perimeter towns of Touroug, Jourf, Erfoud, and the last town of Rissani.

• Upon arrival in Merzouga, go for a camel ride and then spend the night in Berber tents in the middle of the desert.

• Watch the sunset over the dunes and enjoy an amazing stargazing experience.

• Wake up early to see the sunrise and take some incredible pictures.

• After sunrise, ride camels back to the hotel to take a shower and have breakfast.

• Head out of the Sahara via Rissani, Alnif, Ouarzazate, and the same route back through the High Atlas Mountains.

• Take photo breaks and stop for lunch along the way.

• Arrive in Marrakech.
