Embark on a 3-day adventure trek to the Berber villages of the High Atlas Mountains. Climb the Tizi 'n Tacht Pass and Tizi Mzik pass, and walk amidst cool vegetation of juniper and pine trees with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys. This trek combines mountain passes, waterfalls, and village walks for an immersive experience from Marrakech.

Start the day with a climb up to Azib Tamsoult (2250 m), and have lunch after visiting the Ighouliden waterfalls.

The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Tizi Oussem Village via Tizi 'n Tacht Pass

Pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech at around 8:00 am.
Accompanied by an English-speaking Moroccan guide, drive south over gorges and high passes of the upper valleys to the Berber village of Imi Oughlad, where the trek begins.
Meet the team, composed of mule drivers and a cook.
After loading the luggage onto the mules, start trekking through a forest of green oaks and reach the Tizi 'n Tacht Pass at an altitude of 2,000 m.
Rest for the night in a guesthouse.

Day 02

Tizi Oussem Village to Imlil via Azib Tamsoult and Tizi Mzik

Start the day with a climb up to Azib Tamsoult (2250 m), and have lunch after visiting the Ighouliden waterfalls.
After that, continue towards Tizi Mzik pass (2489 m), and enjoy nice views over the Azzaden Valley and Imlil Valley.
Walk downhill to the Imlil valley, and spend the night at a guesthouse.

Day 03

Imlil Valley Walk and Return to Marrakech

Today, enjoy a short walk around Berber villages in the Imlil valley before having lunch at the guesthouse.
In the afternoon, transfer back to Marrakech.
