3-Day Ourika Valley Trek from Marrakech with Berber Village Stays

• Drive from Marrakech to Imlil.

• The trek starts at Imlil (1740m). Here, you will meet the mule team and set out on a two-hour uphill hike to Tizi n' Tamatert (2279m). On the way, you will see typical flat-roofed Berber villages surrounded by small terraced plots of land.

• Continue climbing until you reach Tacheddirt village (2314m), your stop for the night.

Overnight stay at a village guest house/tents outside the village.

• Start your trek with your guide and walk towards the Tacheddirt Pass. Enjoy the best views of the Imnane Valley from here.

• After lunch, continue trekking along the valley to Timichi, an old Berber village. Along the way, take note of the typical Berber terraces, orchards, and the mesmerising views of the high mountains to the south.

Overnight stay at a Berber hut.

• Descend for 3 to 4 hours to Setti Fatma village.

• The trail takes you through the small Berber villages of Anfli and Tadrart before you stop for lunch outside Setti Fatma.

• After lunch, explore this village and visit its waterfall before heading back to Imlil/Marrakech.
