Marrakech to Imlil, Sidi Chamharouch, and Toubkal Refuge
8:00 am: Get picked up from your hotel in Marrakech.
Drive to Imlil (1740 m), a Berber village located about 65 km south of Marrakech and the starting point of the trek.
Meet the Berber muleteer crew, who will accompany the trekkers and take care of the luggage, baggage, food, and other necessary equipment.
Commence the trek, led by an official and experienced Toubkal mountain guide.
Walk through Berber villages via the Sidi Chamharouch shrine (2500 m) to reach the mountain hut.
Stop for a picnic lunch.
After the lunch break, continue towards the Toubkal Refuge (3200 m).
At the Toubkal Refuge, enjoy a glass of refreshing mint tea. A hot shower will be available to wash off the dust and freshen up for the next day.
Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal for dinner. Treks during the summer months include an option to camp overnight.
