2-Day Toubkal Trek from Marrakech with Imlil and Summit Sunrise

• 8:00 am: Get picked up from your hotel in Marrakech.

• Drive to Imlil (1740 m), a Berber village located about 65 km south of Marrakech and the starting point of the trek.

• Meet the Berber muleteer crew, who will accompany the trekkers and take care of the luggage, baggage, food, and other necessary equipment.

• Commence the trek, led by an official and experienced Toubkal mountain guide.

• Walk through Berber villages via the Sidi Chamharouch shrine (2500 m) to reach the mountain hut.

• Stop for a picnic lunch.

• After the lunch break, continue towards the Toubkal Refuge (3200 m).

• At the Toubkal Refuge, enjoy a glass of refreshing mint tea. A hot shower will be available to wash off the dust and freshen up for the next day.

• Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal for dinner. Treks during the summer months include an option to camp overnight.

• The next morning, start the day early at 5:00 am and enjoy a light breakfast.

• Begin the ascent at 5:30 am.

• Take a mid-climb break for refreshments.

• Walk uphill for 3-4 hours, enjoying picturesque views of the High Atlas Mountains, valleys, and Berber villages.

• Reach the summit and enjoy a 45-minute break to take pictures and admire the magnificent view.

• After the break, climb down and return to the hut for lunch.

• Start the journey towards Imlil, following the same route downhill.

• Drive back from Imlil to Marrakech.
