Description

Roam around the Moroccan desert on a camel. Drive through the Atlas Hills and visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Head to a city which has been the shooting location for Hollywood movies like The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last Temptation of Christ. See the world's oldest university and the 2000-year-old Roman Ruins.

  • ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH expand_more
    • Start the tour after arrival at the airport and meet the Marrakech tour guide.

    • Transfer to your accomodation, and if possible visit the city of Marrakech.

  • MARRAKECH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE expand_more
    • After breakfast in your riad, leave Marrakech and head towards Ouarzazate by the Tizi n Tichka, along the beautiful hills and mountains of the Atlas. There will be photo breaks.

    • Then, take a path from Telouet to visit its magnificent Kasbah called Glaoui.

    • After visiting the Kasbah, grab the opportunity to walk in the beautiful villages of the hills and cultures of the Atlas.

    • Continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    • After lunch, head towards Ouarzazate or "Hollywood of Africa", whose geography and beautiful landscapes have attracted many world-class film producers.

    • Here, you can visit the studios, containing props used in movies, such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last Temptation of Christ.

    • Later, visit the Kasbah Taourirt, another Kasbah of the Glaoui family who served as governor of Ouarzazate, before registering at your hotel.

  • OUARZAZATE - DADES VALLEY - TODRA GORGE - ERFOUD - ERG CHEBBI expand_more
    • After breakfast, head to the Gorges de Toudra via the palm grove of Skoura.

    • Before arriving at the gorge, you will cross the Valley of Roses and continue to pare the valley of Dades. Boumalne Dades is a renovated town located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains before reaching the Todra Gorge.

    • After lunch, you will drive to Merzouga through a number of towns and villages, including Erfoud.

    • Before arriving at Erfoud, you will see the old irrigation system locally called "Khettarat".

    • Continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi and switch from your vehicle to camels, where you will take the camel ride around the sand dunes, enjoying the sunset before arriving at the Berber Bivouac.

    Dinner and show, a night at Sahara Camp.

  • ERG CHEBBI - ZIZ VALLEY - MIDELT - AZROU - IFRANe - FEZ expand_more
    • After breakfast, travel through the vast Valley of Ziz which contains millions of palm trees until Errachidia.

    • Drive through the gorges of Ziz and then the Middle Atlas with its beautiful views.

    • Stop at Midelt for lunch.

    • After lunch, drive to Fez crossing the cedar forest of Azrou, the largest in Morocco. 

    • Stop for photos with Barbary's monkeys.

    • Then, continue to Ifrane called "Little Switzerland of Morocco" because of its European form of buildings.

    • Arrive in Fez in the afternoon and stay at a riad.

  • VISIT OF FEZ: GUIDED CITY TOUR OF FES expand_more
    • Start to visit the main monuments and historical sites of the city in the morning such as Medersa Bouaananiya, University of Karaouiyine, labelled as the oldest university with your Fez tour guide.

    • Visit the king palace and see the beautiful panoramic view of Fez, walk in the old Berber markets in old Fes.

    Overnight stay in the Riad

  • FES - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - RABAT expand_more
    • Depart early in the morning after breakfast towards Meknes.

    • Begin the tour with a visit to the ramparts with monumental 17th-century gates Bab Mansour, Bab Khemis.

    • Continue to explore the city by stables (Rua), granaries (Heri) and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which was for a long time the only mosque that non-Muslims could visit in Morocco before the Hassan II Mosque, then by the famous Bab Mansour El on the vast Hedim Square.

    • Continue to the ancient Roman Ruins in Volubilis and spend some time exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire.

    • Afterwards, drive to the city of Rabat, the capital of Morocco for another night.

  • RABAT – CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH expand_more
    • After breakfast, spend the day dedicated to the visit of the city of Rabat. Take a guided tour and visit the Kasbah Oudayas, erected by a terrible tribe of predators in the twelfth century.

    • Then, visit the tower Hassan, where four facades are decorated differently from each other; three in pink stones and one in the grey because of the sea breeze. The remains of the old mosque and the mausoleum Mohamed V are next door to the tower.

    • After the visit to Rabat, drive through the highway to reach Casablanca. 

    • Once in Casablanca, you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque after Mecca with its wonderful architecture. 

    • After the visit, stop for lunch in a local restaurant on the Corniche before continue your journey to Marrakech.
