The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Imlil and Trek to Neltner Refuge

  • Pick up from your hotel after a quick breakfast and drive for about 80 minutes to Imlil.
  • Meet the rest of the team before setting out on a 5-6 hour trek to the small shelter below the summit of Toubkal. The paths are quite steep and narrow, and in some places you will continue rising through secluded mountain terrain. The route passes through several mountain passes before you arrive at the shelter, where you can enjoy Berber hospitality and spend the night.

Day 02

Summit Toubkal and Return to Imlil

  • Make the ascent to the highest point of the Maghreb. The final peak of Toubkal is broad, and the climb is not very steep. Marvel at the cliffs overlooking the far side of Lake d'Ifni.
  • After reaching the highest point in North Africa, descend to Imlil, where you will be picked up for the return trip to Marrakech.
