My wife and I were part of a group of 10 friends from Miami, Florida, USA, visiting Kathmandu in October 2015 barely 6 months after the earthquake. Despite the effects of this tragedy, we had an incredible opportunity to experience a vibrant city and its wonderful people; Paras was the perfect tour guide in every respect: excellent English, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to every detail;  he made our travel experience in Kathmandu truly rewarding. We continued our journey to Tibet & Bhutan with very good tour guides, but, in our opinion, Paras set the benchmark as tour guiding goes.

A U.S. friend of mine, who lives in Abu Dhabi recommended a tour guide for Kathmandu. I took her up on her suggestion and phoned him when I arrived. However, he was sick and instead I had a tour with his brother-Paras Mani Amgain. That is why I called this divine by design. It was by divine intervention that I got Paras. He was not only prompt, extremely knowledgable, and courteous. He was also relateable. We got along throughout the day. He was so easy going and went along with my need to take many pictures. I had outfit changes, and he just patiently waited and then took the best pictures of me. He also surprised me with a fun video that he took with me talking to local children. The whole day was memorable. His love for his country shines through. He is also a documentary film maker who wants to help his country on all levels. After the many earthquakes that struck Nepal last year, he rallied to find supplies for his fellow countrymen. Paras is a intelligent man with a winning smile. He will take great care of you.
