Juan Carlos was an excellent companion and guide on our day trip from Quito. He arrived early to pick us up, and was able to knowledgeably respond to all our questions about our surroundings and about Ecuador in general. We had requested a stop at the Equator, and he also stopped for us to sample some delicious Ecuadorian fruit from a vendor along the way. In Otavalo, our interest was the textile market, but he made sure we visited the produce market as well, which (unlike the textile market on a wednesday) was not oriented towards tourists. He made sure we continued to sample produce we were not familiar with. He joined us for a lunch at a restaurant he recommended, where we enjoyed various typical dishes and juices. His English was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our day with him. He also arranged for our transfer to the airport the following day. We happily recommend Juan Carlos's services.

We had the pleasure of travelling with Juan Carlos from Quito to Cotopaxi on one day, where we climbed to 16,000ft. His knowledge of the country and countryside on our trip to the volcano was terrific. He knew all the plants and their uses, he told us about the history of the country as well as some current events. He was very accommodating and excited about sharing his country with us. Our second trip was to the Otavalo market, with lots of stops on the way that were fun, delicious and interesting! Juan was a great travel guide and we highly recommend him. We were travelling with our adult daughters and we all enjoyed his company and the knowledge he shared with us.

We traveled for six days with Juan Carlos from Quito to Cuenca with various stops in between. He was very knowledgeable and helpful guide.
