My boyfriend and I spent 3 days in the Atacama Desert with Oscar and the time we spent with him exceeded all of our expectations. He was adaptable, extremely knowledge about the area, and took us to all of the major sites while also avoiding huge tourist crowds. The wine at sunset and well prepared breakfast and lunches he provided were top-notch. He was one of the friendliest, most accepting people we met during our whole trip to Chile and it was a pleasure getting to know him along the way.  Guide Oscar Vasquez and his tour was above all possible expectations. He is so knowledgeable about all aspects of his environment; nature, history, the indigenous peoples and Chile today. Oscar thought of everything and catered for our every need. He was punctual, enthusiastic and we needed someone who spoke English (he is Chilean!)! Oscar was definitely one of our best choices when we were planing our trip to Chile. He has been in the Atacama area for years and knows all secret corners inside out. By this he was always able to be exactly at the right time at the perfect stops ensuring that we were able to catch the most awesome sunrises and sundowns in this beautiful desert.
