I have had the pleasure to know Slavce Mitevski for about seven years. I first met him while living in Probistip, Macedonia for over two years.

He is friendly, honest, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and has a particular interest in bicycling. He has actively sought to promote bicycling in Probistip and Macedonia for years. I had the good fortunate to join him on many weekend bicycle trips in and around Probistip. I found such trips to be enjoyable and enlightening. Not only did Slavce know the roads and trails throughout the region but he knows the people; housing options; significant historical, geological and archeological sites; the local culture-- especially the cuisine and customs, and the long and rich history of the region. This resulted in memorable travel experiences--experiences that would not have been possible on my own. He is fluent in the Macedonian language as well as several other Balkan languages and can also converse comfortably in English. This means a great deal when meeting and visiting with the local folks, especially in the villages and rural areas.

Slavce is a very positive, friendly, and open-minded guide with lots of energy. He brought my friends and I on the hike from Lesnovo Monastery to the fish restaurant on the river in Zletevo.
