Fantastic Village Tour in Nepal, Mixture of culture and Nature & off beaten area

Reviewed May 8, 2017

My husband & I have been in Nepal for 7Nights 8 Days days doing the Village Tour in Nepal in October 2016. Our guide Mahendra gave us superb service and provided each detail about Nepal trip. In the beginning, we did few monuments in Kathmandu valley. Then we visited Namobuddha which is the excellent place to visit located at the hilltop with perfect mountain view, visited the monastery and had interaction with monks which was the best moment of the trip. Next day we had hiking throughout the villages and terraces. Balthali village was another highlight of this tour which is completely untouched and non-commercial place. I lived the way local farmers working in the field; potato planted field, living style, and culture of the local people. Then we took the drive to go to Bandipur which was traditional vehicle free village from the 17th century. Mahendra took excellent imitation to explore these places visiting and interacting with local. He translated and been mediated to interact with the local people. Then we visited Pokhara and took the flight to come back to Kathmandu. I recommend people to do the village tour in Nepal. I was very lucky I & it was my fortune to get the guide like Mahendra.

Villages and Hilltops with Mahendra

Reviewed May 6, 2017

As a family of 4, we had Mahendra guide us on a tour of Kathmandu and Patan, and into the villages and hilltops the tour promised.  Mahendra Had to manage 2 couples with varied interests, as well as a very tight schedule.  It's clear that he has the experience and knowledge to do this.  He would go out of his way to add or point out things that would interest us specifically, improvising stops he knew we'd enjoy.  I think that was the best part of his guiding - his ability to divert from a standard tour and make it special.  Thanks Mahendra!
