Mehendra is everything a guide could be and more. He is personable, knowldegeable, efficient and well organized. His English language is excellent. He made our vacation safe and easy. He provided variations within the trip to match our particular interests. We stopped to watch a wedding party. We rested in the shade under the porch roof of a farm house along our day hike through villages. I f we had any issues that were within his ability to resolve, he resolved them. We engaged in almost non-stop conversations. We would ask a question. He would provide an answer and then discussion followed. We came to know Nepal much more deeply and more extensively than if we had toured ourselves. We had a great vacation. We spent some time shopping, and I use the female understanding of shopping, at several locations. Mahendra took us to our target areas and shops. Our wives did their shopping and we mostly stayed on schedule. During the week, we became friends.                                                          

After the earthquake, I had fear in my mind about the security and safety. But once I reached to Nepal I got rid of those fears. I did the Everest Basecamp via Gokyo Lakes. It was fantastic Trek. In the beginning, we did the Kathmandu valley tours. Then we took the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which was most exciting and adventure to fly over the mountain and between the mountain. For me, Everest Basecamp, Kalapatthar, and Gokyo Ri were the most interesting point. I suggest to the tourist to spend more time in Gokyo valley which is more pleasant and worthwhile to spend the time. But be careful when you cross the Chola Pass you might need to stop at Gokyo if the weather is not good. Our Guide Mahendra was very knowledgeable and provided the excellent services. He was taking care of us he was conscious about the health and safety. He maintained the gradual gaining the altitude and made it happened. It wasn’t easy job being the guide, and we were 5 members in a group with different attitudes and strengths. Thanks, Mahendra he was able to manage the situation and made it happen without any barriers.

In October 2016, I made a decision to go to Nepal just for 3 days in Kathmandu which was great. I had guide Mahendra. He was great with full of Knowledge regarding Buddhism Hinduism and all the Gods and Goddesses in Hinduism. He was able to identify my needs and exceeded my expectations. The Cultural show with dinner was the most highlighted part, and Mahendra provided the briefing of each in detail. I visited most of the World Heritage sites in Kathmandu and village tour in Balthali which was also an excellent choice. Thanks Mahendra for your great support and excellent service. For the future travellers who visit Nepal use Mahendra as a local guide.
