We were so fortunate to have Carlos as our guide in Salvador and surroundings.  He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, polite and helpful, and his English is perfect.

He had answers to all our questions and always made an effort to go even further in fulfilling our wishes to learn more.  Weare totally convinced that having Carlos as a guide, our trip was made much more interesting and enjoyable than it would  otherwise have been.

I hired a private, 5-day trip  in the state of Bahia last August through a travel agency and Carlos was my guide for the entire week. He has taken care of every single detail of the trip since I arrived at the airport until I boarded the plane for the flight back home. He showed me places in Salvador which I have never been to or never heard of, and always telling all the history and cultural aspects full of  details. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable of Brazilian history. I also had a chance to visit Santo Amaro and Cachoeira and Praia do Forte with Carlos, and they were all  great experiences ! I strongly recommend Carlos for anyone who wants to learn about history, culture and have fun - above all, Carlos is a very nice person!!

Our ship arrived at the port of Salvador in the afternoon and Carlos met us on the pier. I never worked with him before (although I was with groups in Salvador twice),so I was a bit nervous but from the first minutes it was clear

we are"in Carlos good hands".

We had a walking tour at the center of the city « Pelourino», rich in history and every day local life. It was unforgettable experience. Carlos is a fascinating story-teller ,he knows a lot about past and present of Brazil and its ancient capital Salvador.

Bearing in mind a very hot day and people's age ( mostly middle-age+) he did everything to make our group feel comfortable with breaks for coffee and souvenir shops at the center and Modelo Public Market.

We visited some churches: the most impressive was Franciscan Church with spectacular azulejos where Carlos was at his best telling the most interesting stories and describing vivid scenes.

Then it was free time for everyone. Carlos arranged taxi transfers for the group to get back to the pier and he did it very effortlessly and quick. The walking tour lasted 5 hours.

Carlos speaks a very good English, he is helpful, friendly, competent and knowing guide. My tourists spoke highly of the tour how it was planned and done. All thanks to Carlos!

I will surely work with him again when the opportunity arises.
