We had a great trip with Darwin. We learned a lot and had fun. 

Our group had hired Darwin from Peru Wild Treks as our guide for our trip to Cusco/Sacred Valley. We had booked his services for the non-hiking part of our trip as we had already booked reservations with another company for hiking the Inca Trail. Darwin was very forthcoming in all our interactions prior to and during the trip. He was very punctual and made very effort to make us feel comfortable in an alien company. On a short notice, he also helped arrange a guide for us for a half-day trip in Lima.

Darwin took us to Chinchero, Moray, Maras, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Cusco and Palccoyo Rainbow Mountains. He has a good knowledge of history. He made us perform an Incan ritual at the top of Palccoyo Rainbow Mountains using the Coca leaves and creating a stack of stones. It was interesting to learn about the Incan ritual and we appreciated his effort to make us feel a part of his culture. In Chinchero, he took us to see how the locals make their textiles from Alpaca and Llama wool. Again, it was an interesting experience that everyone in our group loved.

Overall we had a good experience with him and would definitely hire his services again if and when we visit Cusco/Sacred Valley in future.

Darwin is an excellent guide. He is punctual, polite, patient, flexible, and very knowledgeable of the area and it’s history and speaks excellent English.  Darwin met us at the airport and took us to our hotel where we reviewed the details of our tour.  We spent the entire day from 7 am to 5 pm touring the local Inca sites and the sites in the Sacred Valley and had a great time. The next morning Darwin picked us up and took us to the train station on our way to Machu Picchu.  If you want a private personal guide who goes out of his way to make sure you are having the best time possible you should select Darwin.  Darwin said he also leads trecking expeditions to other remote Inca sights which we hope to come back to enjoy with him!
