i visited Ethiopia with 5 friends earlier this year. In Lalibela, Kassahun was our guide.  We visited the monolithic churches in Lalibela as well as rode mules and did a traditional homestay. Kassahun is fluent in English. i found him to be a man of integrity and kind and responsible and took pains to ensure that we were comfortable and taken care of.  We trusted him and felt safe with him.

I met Mr Kassahun Biset at the airport of Lalibela, where he helped me out by changing my money into Biir so that I could pay for the transport to the hotel.  He was my guide for 2,5 days, and I enjoyed his knowledge of the stone churches,  Christian faith, Ethiopian history and architecture thoroughly. He is very kind, open, fluent in English, and happy to adapt to your interests and needs. As a young woman travelling alone, I felt very comfortable in his company. We also visited the bustling market on Saturday, where his parents have a stall. On Sunday I tagged along with Kassahun to the morning mass, which was a very touching experience. All in all, I would highly recommend Kassahun as your guide in Lalibela!
