Once upon a time we thought tours were a waste of money but we are more mature and can really appreciate all that guides have to offer. Eugenia with The Wine Route is an excellent example of why you DEFINITELY should book a professional tour when exploring new places. First of all, your time is limited so you should only see and do the best the place has to offer. That is exactly what Eugenia did for our party of 4 (two couples). She was very accommodating from the first communication to the adjustments to itineraries including our "live" requests during the tour to stop here or there.  Her English was excellent and she was also extremely knowledgable about wine and passionate about winemaking. She expertly knew the wineries and their stories plus we had personal introductions to several owners. We were delighted with Eugenia and the entire experience. Her vehicle was ideal for touring - spacious, very clean and comfortable. We were provided with water and snacks plus a little surprise at the end of the trip (I won't spoil for you!). We booked two consecutive days and when our first stop on the first day wasn't quite yet open (it's Mexico after all!), she promptly drove a few minutes away to a cheese shop where we purchased a charcuterie board that became breakfast at our next winery. Things like that would have been impossible to do on our own. You really need guidance from somebody who knows the area and what they are talking about. Not the least reason to book a tour is having a designated driver so we could all relax and enjoy the wine tasting all day. Eugenia was just delightful and next time we return to the Valle de Guadalupe, we will call her without a doubt! Don't hesitate to book The Wine Route for your Valle de Guadalupe adventure - the prices were right, the tour fantastic, the little roads and tricky locations are another reason to have a driver plus the transportation to/from our hotel helped make our trip all the more enjoyable. Thank you, Eugenia!!
